Reporting to Title IX

If you are in an emergency situation, call 911 immediately. Title IX is not an emergency response unit and typically responds to reports within two business days.

Anyone can make a Title IX report using the online reporting form, emailing titleix@ucsc.edu by calling and leaving a message for the Title IX inbox (831) 459-2462.

Title IX responds to reports of sexual violence, sexual harassment (SVSH), other prohibited behavior and non-compliance under the SVSH policy. Additionally Title IX can respond to any sex and gender-based discrimination/harassment that may not be included in the SVSH policy.

Once a report has been filed, Title IX will reach out to the complainant via email. In the outreach, we will share resources, including confidential options, and invite the complainant to meet with us. If a complainant chooses to meet with Title IX, they will have an opportunity to ask questions, request safety and supportive measures, and to share information about their report. Title IX will work with the complainant to determine how best to proceed.
