A view of the UCSC Campus

Coordinated Community Review Team

The charge of the Coordinated Community Review Team (CCRT) is to oversee a collaborative approach to preventing and addressing sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking. The CCRT serves in an advisory capacity to campus leadership and community members about best practices in policies, education, prevention, and response to these kinds of incidents. The CCRT will focus on reviewing and recommending changes to policies and procedures; overseeing the coordination and implementation of prevention, education, and awareness programs; and providing advice and feedback on communicating messages about University and community efforts to prevent and respond to sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking.

CCRT Responsibilities:

  • Conduct an annual review of policies and procedures concerning sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking. Ensuring campus stakeholders are informed about current federal, state, University of California, and campus policies; reviewing campus policies, procedures, and practices to ensure consistent response to incidents; providing feedback to the UC system on draft Presidential policies, advising when a policy needs revision, and or/providing input as to the need for a policy; and reviewing and providing advice on campus procedures or additional policies to support the systemwide policies.
  • Provide oversight of prevention, education, and awareness programs for students, staff, and faculty. Ensuring dissemination (through education and training, events, and media campaigns) of basic information, reporting requirements and options, and support services available for those who have experienced, witnessed, or received reports about incidents of sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking; and affording faculty, students, and staff with clear accessibility to these services.
  • Oversee the implementation of media campaigns on prevention and response efforts. Driving consistent messages about University of California and campus prevention and response policies and procedures; engaging, integrating, and empowering student members to spread the word about prevention and education efforts across campus.
  • Assess and evaluate campus trends using surveys and data analysis of indicators about incidents of sexual violence and sexual assault on campus. Collecting and reviewing data on a regular basis; issuing recommendations based on data analysis.
